Gallagher Bassett Ghosting Me On A Claim

Card image cap

Location: Massachusetts.

I had a Samsung Tech leave off an internal water line in our washer when they came out to do a warranty repair in December 2024. Our first wash after the repair the bathroom floor was covered in water and water migrated through the floors and poured into our basement. It was at the location of my computer, test equipment, and a few others items. We put in a claim and then about six month later I received a called from a Gallagher Bassett rep, they left a VM telling me that they are responsible for the damaged and ask me to call them back. Which I did they same day. The rep never returned my call. I left other VM during a 2 week period after my first time trying to get in touch with him. He finally called me back after I told him I was going to contact MA consumer affairs.

I was originally going to have a contractor come out and give me a quote to have it repaired. The contractors I tried to get to come out where booked a few weeks out. I decided that since it was a DIY I could do the work myself again. I informed him of that via email since he responded more to email than VM. I haven't' heard back from him since February 2026. Is there a limitation on how long we have to before they just toss out the claim? What options do I have to get this resolved sooner than later?
