Getting Rare Cancer Young After Working Next To A Chemical Company.
I am 45 years old and about 9 months into dealing with muscle invasive bladder cancer that has now spread into local lymph nodes. My bladder, prostate and all the lymph nodes they could get to were removed but thankfully I have a neobladder. (10 hour surgery, check out how they do it, it’s WILD)
I went through full chemo before the surgery then months after recovering they found one local spot of lymph nodes that still had it. Weeks of radiation did nothing so I am possibly looking at clinical trials soon.
For five years I worked for a company that had a small chemical company working next door. Had no issues until a few years in when we were getting major issues with smells and fumes that would cause the workers to complain about headaches and etc. This had gotten so bad and we had to the fire dept many times on them due to this. Since I ran the place, I spent so much time trying to get the company I worked for to care, the local code enforcement to care and the landlord to care but no one seemed to really want to do anything about it. I left the company last summer and started at a new company that was awesome, but three months in, found out that I was screwed.
From what I can tell, proving this sort of damage is a hard case but the younger age and aggressiveness of it can maybe help?
At this point I might be too tired to even want to go through with it, but I just wanted any input possible and I’m willing to answer any questions that you have about any of it.

I really appreciate your time, thank you.
