Hacker Caught Through Minecraft Server

There was a recent Google breach and my partner's passwords had been leaked. They quickly changed their passwords and a hacker was trying to break into any account they could, including bank accounts and emails. They had forgotten to change one password however, the password to the account of their Minecraft server provider.

The hacker had deleted our world and created an entirely new server that replaced ours. At first we thought the hacker was just trying to see what they could control and use as leverage to try to get something out of us. Little did we know, their plan was to PLAY on the Minecraft server instead.

Using the built-in server logs, we managed to obtain their IP addresses as well as their Minecraft account IDs. We were in a call with some friends and one of our friends managed to find a TikTok account that had mentioned the EXACT Minecraft account name that had joined our server, as well as a comment responding to it.

Being fed up with this whole situation, I had messaged the person who left the comment. They swiftly admitted to at least knowing about the hacking, and being one of the people who played on server, saying "Have fun with the new server" and "The spawn was ugly anyway". He swiftly blocked me after this exchange.

I managed to save the Minecraft server logs containing their IP addresses and their Minecraft user-ids. I also saved a screenshot of both of their TikTok accounts, the comment referencing the Minecraft username as well as the exchanges that I had with both of the people.

My partner had put in a report earlier today (before this all went down) but I was wondering if there are any additional steps we should take to ensure the safety of their accounts and make sure the people responsible are dealt with?
