Hotel Employee Tried To Force His Way Into My Room By Busting The Lock And Sawing The Bar Lock. Did I Have Any Legal Recourse?

Location: Kansas. I booked two single night stays. The first night was booked on the wrong night, so I called in to change it, which couldn't be done. Instead, they booked the correct night and merged the reservations at the corporate level. When I checked into the hotel, I told the lady at the front desk the situation, that I was staying two nights and the reservations were supposed to be merged. The room was paid for. I explained that I work overnights and would be sleeping during the day to get back on my work schedule. The next afternoon, I woke up to a man trying to break through my door. The hotel maintenance man had cracked the metal lock all around the door and was using a saw to get the bar lock off my door. I was obviously freaked out by this random (to me) person breaking into my room. I opened the door and asked what was going on. He responded, "Time to go." I told him the room was paid through the next day. I went to the front desk to complain and she told me she had tried to call my cell phone (that was on Do Not Disturb) from *her personal cell phone.* She said I needed to come down a day check in for my second day reservation. None of this was explained to me and there was certainly no reason for the maintenance person to try to break my door down. The manager initially blamed me, then back tracked and accepted fault, comping one of my nights and I asked for a full refund. She said corporate failed to notify them that my reservations were merged. I explained that I had told the front desk staff this when I checked in and no one at any point told me I needed to come back down and check in again. Do I have any ground to take legal action? What type of attorney would I need? I have an incident report and a delayed police report.
