How Do I Keep My Bd From Taking My Child After He Is Born?

i am about 5 months pregnant with my first child, my child’s father is repeatedly saying he wants to take my child alone right after he is born. i am not comfortable with this. i am planning to exclusively breast-feed and am at a higher risk of postpartum depression. i tried explaining to him I will not feel comfortable being away from my baby so soon and tried explaining that baby does not know they are separate identity from the mother until they are 6-7 months old. i think it’s unnatural and unfair to keep a child from his mother for long periods so early.
i am already planning to keep his name off the birth certificate after delivery as we are not married. what other legal precautions can i take to make sure he cannot take the baby away from me so early?
note: I am not trying to keep the child away from him whatsoever. I want him to spend as much time with his dad/ dad’s family as possible. I just don’t feel comfortable with him being away from me.
