I’m On Color Code And I’ve Failed Twice For Alcohol In The Past Month, But I Haven’t Had Any Alcohol

I’ve been on color code for about a year and a half now and have been passing every test with flying colors until September 8th. They said I failed for alcohol so I started looking for anything and everything I had been taking to see what caused it and it turns out my albuterol inhaler contains ethanol. It was the only thing that made sense, I told the judge, and they gave me community service and I thought it was over.

Well, yesterday I went in because my color was called and the CO said I failed for alcohol AGAIN on the 21st of October. I genuinely don’t know what is going on or what is causing me to fail because I’m NOT DRINKING ALCOHOL!! I don’t even take any cold medicine just to be safe, even if it doesn’t contain alcohol. I stopped using my inhaler, I ask what is in foods that I don’t make just in case, I’ve been so so careful.

I need advice on what could be causing me to fail because I’m lost. I don’t know what is going on or how to even plead my case because I know they won’t believe me. I’ve never even liked drinking, it wasn’t ever my thing. I have court Monday and I’m terrified that I’m going to go to jail. Do any of you have any idea what could be causing my tests to come back positive for alcohol? I read somewhere that UTIs can cause false positives and I do have chronic UTIs, but idk. Please help me!
