I've Unknowingly Been Using The Wrong Legal Name My Entire Life. How Bad Is This?

Location: FL (born there as well). I am an adult. All names are fake.

My whole life, I've gone by Jane Marie Doe. Recently, I found my birth certificate, and it states that I am actually named Jane Marie Ann Doe. Apparently, this was going to be my name before my parents changed their mind, but they never ended up getting it legally changed. I never knew about the second middle name at all.

What's strange is that my birth certificate is the ONLY document that I have two middle names on, to my knowledge. My SSN has just Marie, and I guess the SSN card was used as identity verification whenever I needed any, so my driver's license and all of my other documents just have one middle name, too. But I suspect that this discrepancy is going to cause me problems down the line.

I would like to change my name and drop the "Ann", and I get the gist of how that process is going to go. But I have to send in a copy of my ID to get my name changed, and none of my ID matches my birth certificate. I'm scared that I'll get charged with fraud or something when I go to change my name because I've been using the 'wrong' name on legal documents. Furthermore, does this not make all the ID I have technically invalid??

Can I just submit the name change paperwork and expect it to turn out fine? Is there someone I should explain my situation to before doing that, or something else I should be doing?

Thank you!
