I Want To Call Cps On My Child's Aunt

Card image cap

Hello everyone

I want to start by saying that the aunt I'm referring to, I'm not related to her, but my daughter is. I was never married to my child's father.

Location: Texas, USA

This is a very complex situation that I'm not quite sure how to navigate. My daughters aunt lives in another state, so I don't witness what occurs in their home from first-hand experience. Everything is told to me by my daughters dad. I'm legitimately concerned about my daughter's aunts wellbeing. She has pregnancy addiction and isn't seeking out help for her mental health issues.

For reference, she has 8 children currently and is now pregnant with their 9th. She has 5 different fathers out of the 9 children. Her and her current husband are not able to afford all of these children, and they're completely dependent on government assistance to survive and feed themselves. She does not properly care for the children she has now. One of her teenagers (13) is actively smoking, drinking, and self harming, and her mother blames her daughter for the problems... I'm so concerned that it's actually making me sick thinking that she's about to bring another child into the world that she can't care for properly and continues to get pregnant when she can't keep affording these children. She is not a good mom, and she gets pregnant simply because it gives her a sense of purpose and fills a void in her life. I've never had to make a CPS call before and I'm trying to convince my daughter's dad to provide his testimony since he has first hand accounts of what he's witnessed while living with her in the past. I don't want to take action to punish her but to get her HELP and to get those children HELP because they're all living in chaos and I'm so scared for these children. Their mom is not mentally okay. Can CPS help without removing the children from the home and splitting up the family?
