I Want To Make Sure I Am Following The Proper Process

Hello, so Friday night my wife and I were driving down the road when a man did not see us and pulled out of an Arby’s parking lot and tboned us. It was like we were right in front and he sped forward and slammed into my front passenger side tire. Police were contacted right away and said he is 100% at fault and said it could take up to two weeks to get the report back. So far I submitted a claim with my insurance and his, my wife and I went to the er that night because we were worse than we thought when the adrenaline wore off, an immediate care as pain persisted today- especially with my wife whom could barely turn her head in either direction and her neck is sore to the touch. I also contacted an attorney just in case. It is Sunday now, I am going to go to the chiropractor in the morning as it feels like my back is off and I want to see if they could do anything for my wife. I just want to make sure I am not missing anything. I’m 26 this is the first accident I have been in. If I could get any advise I would appreciate it. Thank you
