In Desperate Need Of Some Guidance Through An Eviction Settlement

Location: Colorado

Trying to keep this short, my husband and I lost our only vehicle in July, taking away our income from gig work we use to close the gap, as well as my ability to take jobs when school started (I'm a substitute teacher) because public transport didn't work with the schedule. With just my husbands income and our property management company's refusal to take the payments we tried to make, we got 2.5 months behind on rent. There's a little more to this but I can clarify later if need be.

We tried to get help through Colorado Legal Services. We had a hard to getting ahold of them before our hearing date on 10/8, the most I was able to get was a voicemail stating "go to court". We went, got another court date for 10/30. We were briefly able to speak with someone from legal aid, and they said to try to get ahold of the properties attorney.

I tried to go through a link for settlement that they had with the eviction packet a few times, the first time I never got an email back is was directed, the next few times I was just notified that the case was closed and couldn't use the link. I tried emailing the attorney directly with no response. I tried reaching out to the property management, also no response.

The other day, we tried walking into Colorado Legal Services to try to get some guidance, and the receptionist told us they won't help us if the case has gone to trial, that we have to get a private attorney (which obviously we can't afford).

So now I am just kind of scared and lost, trying to navigate everything on my own. At this point, I have long given up hope of staying in the house. Instead, I have just been trying to manage a settlement before having to go to court again in order to try to keep the eviction of our record as much as we can. We are already planning on relocating back to our home state of Texas to stay with my mother in law.

Honestly, I'm just really overwhelmed and anxious and really, really don't want to go to court by myself.
