Married With A Small Baby (ma)---how Do I Leave?

location: Boston, MA

I have been married for a little over a year now and have a small baby who is not even 3 months old. My husband has always been a rather petty man who has had anger issues, but since the baby has arrived, I have made the realization that I no longer want to be with this hateful person. He makes me feel like I'm suffocating. Everything I do is wrong, everything I talk about is worthless, every breath is an offense to his senses.

I know. I'm stupid. I accept this, but I'd like all of my next steps to be less so.

What are my options if I want to leave? I want none of his assets, I don't even care about child support. I just want to leave and move in with my parents, who have been quietly watching it all and are now elated that I've seen him for who he is.

I have evidence of his violence (a hole in the wall from when he threw a remote) but nothing else other than my own testimony. I am also concerned because he has family members (who do like me, but thats neither here nor there) that are high profile lawyers.

Update: I've spoken to a few lawyers and have some consultations next week. My question now is in regard to my husband demanding I return from my parents on Saturday because "our baby lives with US, not with your parents." Do I have to oblige him?
