Michigan Apartment Bug Infested And Unclean Upon Move-in

My boyfriend and I have been packing and working on moving into a new apartment/townhouse. While moving in, we noticed that it had not been properly cleaned. There were also bugs coming in from the front door and in the basement. We have notified the leasing office of this, and they said they sent a cleaner to clean and maintenance to fix any sealing issues. We just got back from bringing a couple more items to the apartment, and it was not cleaned and there were even more bugs than before. We signed the lease back in April (didn’t have to pay rent from April-June 28th, just move-in fee) and move in June 28. So, they have had over 2 months to get it clean and habitable.
We don’t feel comfortable unpacking anything or moving a bed into the apartment. Is there any legal action we can take to possibly get out of the lease? At this point, even if they do eventually fix the issues, I have lost all trust in the landlord.
