Mobile Home/lot Rent Advice Location:illinois

Location: Illinois
I owned a mobile home and paid lot rent. A neighbor was harassing me to the point I called the police 4 times in 2 months, then decided it’s safer to just leave than to try and wait for the law to help. I called and messaged the property management several times during this, and they never responded. Their office is out of state, so I could not reach them in person. I put the trailer up for sale, an applicant is approved, signs the lease and I sign over the title to the buyer.

One month goes by and management is threatening me with eviction for nonpayment. I’m already gone and the buyer is living there. Management tells me and the buyer that the buyers lease is void because I signed over the wrong line and didn’t go to the DMV in person. The buyer loves that he got a month free out of me, I made a deal with him that he pay the title transfer fee and I’ll cover the lot rent. All of this is communicated with management. I pay lot rent and the buyer bait and switches and is telling me I have to pay the title transfer fee or I’ll be evicted.

How can I be evicted if I no longer live there? What are my options? I’m pretty sure the buyer is simply going to not accept the title so he gets free lot rent indefinitely . Management is keeping me on the hook for lot rent. I can’t just pay lot rent forever on a home I sold over me signing over the title incorrectly. I kinda feel like I’m being bullied into paying because I’m the only one who can pay, but I really can’t. Should I get a lawyer? How expensive is this going to get for me? TIA
