How To Approach Executor About Removing Valueless,non Sentimental Garbage
Location: bc canada
Short story -Executor is aunt,6 beneficiaries
The estate is essentially finished
- house sold;
- vehicles sold;
- business/tax matters dealt with;
- life insurance paid;(some withheld and is in some form of investment vehicle so executor can pay herself from it)
- significant property sold
- Majority has been distributed,some withheld for final business taxes
- approximately three years have passed
The person who purchased the house is my sister. Neither aunt nor sister live here and painfully the house is quite full of useless and worthless garbage. Call it 1-2,000$ new.
I don't really care about money,I just rent the space and it appears there's no end date or real plan for the garbage. They keep updating a "list" they keep ,never actually swinging by and sorting it into donate/trash piles. Both executor and home owner live 8+ hours away and have denied delivery of remaining things them,donation,or a final garage sale(or estate sale).
Do I have reasonable grounds to throw the remainder in the garbage at this point or is it worth reaching out to a lawyer to sent a letter to motivate the executor to come get rid of the garbage.
Cheers
