My Dad Said His Bank Is Taking Me To Federal Court Because He Authorized Me To Make Atm Withdrawals To Pay Bills

My dad has a long history of schizophrenia, TBI, and a very heavy drinker (alcohol) and use to dabble into drugs. For 10 years he lived in the mountains of New Hampshire. He isnt a good person at all. Last August I received a phone call fron the hospital that he had broken his hip and has osteomyelitis in his feet. He wanted me to rescue his animals. I drove overnight 5 hours one way to rescue his dog. My dad was ambulances down to Massachusetts.

He was in the hospital for over a month. He was having A LOT of psychiatric issues, many surgeries for a lot of things, and put on one-to-ones. He authorized me infront of my sister and nursing that I withdraw money from his account to pay for hotels, gas, and all the moving cost to bring his belongings down to Massachusetts. So i withdrawal the money multiple times because there is only a set limit per day. He gave me his cards, wallet, and pin number.

There has been no talk about any thing being an issue with all of that. This February he was section at the hospital and he was deemed incompetent for 30 days by psychiatry. I havent talked to him since then because I dont need his drama in my life, until today. He told me his bank as filed federal claims against me and that I am either going to have to pay for all the withdrawals or I will be going to federal prison. He said his bank told him that a judge might be lenient with me because ive never been in trouble in my life and work in social services. He said he use to date the head banker at his old local branch and that she has talked to the courts and attorneys about this. Its maybe around $7,000. I never spend any of the money on myself. It was all for hotels, moving cost, and gas etc.

My question is - is any of this something I need to worry about and if so would I get arrested before a suppose court date?
