My Dad Was Arrested Last Weekend And I Have No Idea What To Do

So to make a very long story short, my dad was arrested Sunday morning for disorderly conduct among several other misdemeanor offenses. The morning he was arrested he was released in the hospital for having critically high blood sugar, alcohol poisoning, and mixing sleeping pills with alcohol which landed him in the ICU. He was not released until later several days later and it caused him to miss his first court appearance so they put a warrant out for his arrest. This is his first offense and he has a lot of medical problems and is on disability

He was arrested last if he and has been in jail since and has a $800 cash bond. I called the jail and gave them my information and they promised to pass it on to my dad, but also told me that he is being held in an area he can’t make phone calls from and said it is probably because he is sick but kept it very vague.

I’m the oldest (28) out of three siblings with my youngest being 16 and I’m honestly just trying to keep it all together for him. But it has been hard. My dad’s never been arrested before and I don’t know what comes next or if he will be in jail for longer. He owns a house and I don’t know what will happen if he’s in jail and the can’t make payments and to be honest the police department doesn’t give me much information. What do I even do right now? All I’ve really done is call to confirm he is in jail and I put $25 on his books. After your first appearance do you go back to jail? Can be bond himself out? Why can’t he make phone calls?
