My Employer Said They Won’t Accept My Resignation- Next Steps
location: Maine, USA. 2 weeks ago I wrote a letter of resignation to my employer, emailed to HR and manager, the day before I went on prearranged PTO. HR rep emailed back that they do not accept it. I have asked twice for follow up and both time have been told they are evaluating it but do not accept my resignation. what do I do next? EDIT - needless to say vacation has not been very relaxing.Edit 2: this is Reddit so I get the negative comments are par for the course, missing info is I am being harassed and bullied by a coworker (peer, not Above or below me) for over a year and despite multiple calls to HR nothing has been done, I had requested transfer to a different location last year several times but kept being denied, even offered to take a demotion and pay cut to get out of the situation. HR is aware I just want to be out of the environment and have no desire to pursue further action against the other employee. But situation escalated 2 weeks ago which happened to coincide with pre planned pto, and I no longer feel safe at work so handed in my resignation. Hope that helps
