My Seasonal Job Asked Me If I Knew Anyone Who Could Get Hired On To Work 3 Days Just One Time. I Got My Friend Hired On. They’ve Been Refusing To Pay Her For Almost 3 Weeks. What Can She Do?
They took her ID and SSN for tax purposes. But they told me to tell her "we will not do direct deposit for you since you're only helping us out 3 days for Labor Day weekend and the following Labor Day we will pay you on Venmo, Cashapp or Zelle the Tuesday the last day you'll work. I do this job every summer l and told my friend about it and she liked the job (not saying what it is just incase the job sees it
But I sent her the text and voicemail as proof they asked me to find someone.
The manager, the assistant and the two team leads are now acting like they "don't know who my friend is" regular seasonal employees get paid every other week. They took me out of the system (the season doesn't even end til 9/20) so I have no way of seeing my own time clock/ and there's a chance I may not even get paid)
They may take my 35 hours I did that week and pay to my friend because they didnt want to pay 2 people even though they asked me to find someone.
Is that even legal?
If they decided to pay her take my full paycheck and give it to her? She only worked 21 hrs. I did 35. She got mad calling them a few days after politely asking that Tuesday the 5th of September with her Zelle saying thank you here is my Zelle. They refused and they blocked her. She's tried calling the manager and has got blocked.
What should she do if she never gets paid? I refuse to share my own paycheck as I need the money
