My University Bar Served Me Alcohol Without Checking My Id And Now I'm Being Blamed For An Incident That Happened Afterward.

Location: Ontario, Canada. I'm 19 which is the legal drinking age here, so i'm actually allowed to drink. This isn't about underage drinking. Last month i was at my university's on-campus bar with a few friends. The bar is run by the student union and is a licensed establishment. I ordered drinks over the course of the evening and was never once asked for ID, which i thought was fine because i'm of legal age anyway.

Later that night there was an incident involving another student who was visibly intoxicated. I was nearby when it happened and got pulled into it as a witness. During the follow up process with the university, it came out that the bar had served this student well past the point of visible intoxication, which is apparently a licensing violation. The student union is now trying to suggest that i in some way enabled or contributed to the situation, i think because i was standing with this person at some point during the evening and bought a round that included a drink for them earlier in the night before i had any idea how much they'd had.

I did not know how intoxicated they were when i bought that round. I bought one drink for one person at a licensed bar. The bar staff are the ones who are supposed to be monitoring consumption levels, not me. I've now been asked to attend a formal meeting with the university administration about the incident. Do i have any actual legal exposure here and should i have a lawyer present at this meeting?
