Nc Rental Question: How Do I Remove A Permitted Occupant From My Home While I’m Deployed?

I’m active-duty military and currently away from North Carolina on orders. I’m the only Tenant/Lessee on my residential lease in my town in NC. I’m trying to figure out the proper way to have my girlfriend move out of the home while I’m away.

Here’s the situation:
When I originally got the lease, my girlfriend and I were planning to get married, so she was listed on the lease paperwork as my “Wife” under Permitted Occupants. We are not actually married. She is my girlfriend and is listed as a Permitted Occupant, not as a Tenant/Lessee.
The lease is for a home in NC. I am the only person listed as the Tenant. Her name appears under the separate “Permitted Occupants (other than Tenant)” section.
I recently contacted the property management company, specifically to clarify her legal/lease status and what would be required if I wanted her to move out.
They responded in writing and confirmed:
She is formally listed only as a Permitted Occupant.
She is not a Tenant/Lessee.
She is not financially responsible for rent or the other tenant obligations under the lease.
I am the only rent-responsible Tenant.
My being away on active-duty military orders does not change the process.
If I decide that I no longer want her residing in the home, it is my responsibility as the Tenant to have her vacate.
Once she has completely vacated, I am supposed to notify property management in writing that I want her removed as a Permitted Occupant, and they will prepare updated lease documentation for me to sign.
If she has a key, it needs to be returned, and they said I would be responsible for the cost of rekeying if necessary.
There are also some relevant provisions in the lease. The lease specifically has a separate category for “Permitted Occupants,” and it says the premises cannot be occupied by anyone other than the Tenant and Permitted Occupants. It also says changes/deletions to the contract have to be made in writing and signed by the parties.
The problem is that while I’ve been away, our relationship has deteriorated. She has been doing things that I’m not comfortable with, and we’re essentially falling out of love. At this point, I no longer want her living in the house. She has also blocked my phone number, so I currently can’t communicate with her directly by phone.

My question is: what is the proper legal process in North Carolina for getting a Permitted Occupant to vacate when the actual Tenant is away on active-duty military orders?
I am not looking to damage her belongings, lock her out illegally, shut off utilities, or do anything that could get me in trouble. I want to handle this properly and legally while I’m away.
Would this require an eviction/summary ejectment proceeding if she refuses to leave, even though she is not a Tenant/Lessee? Can the police become involved if she refuses to vacate, or is this strictly a civil matter?
I’m also planning to speak with military legal assistance, but I’d appreciate hearing from anyone familiar with NC landlord-tenant law or a similar situation.
