Need Advice With "tenant" That Had Moved Out But Now Claims They Still Live Here

Location: Mississippi

So, we had someone living at our house in what is essentially a storage room within our garage. We didn't want him there, he just decided to stay and not leave after we were allowing him to use it for his WFH job since he didn't have internet at his place.

He finally left to live with his new girlfriend. There was an altercation later back on our property between him and his girlfriend when he told the officer that responded that he didn't live here and then gave, presumably, his new address.

He's been gone and out there for about a month or longer.

We learned today that they are evicting him out there now. He showed back up today to get some of his things that he left here that we had moved out of the storage and into his vehicle that he left on the property, him having told us and the officer that he would be back for it soon.

My fear is this, he will be evicted from his new property and then try to return here claiming this as his residence. (He briefly hinted at this when he showed up to grab some of his things.)

Do I need to serve him eviction papers or at this point can we just refuse his arrival and call the police since he claimed before that he doesn't live here. Would it be a "His word against mine" type of scenario?

Since he is being formally evicted out there, is that not proof enough that he no longer lives at this residence?
