Need Dog Ownership Legal Advice.
good evening! location: dallas, texas and i recently had to move out of my mother's house due to an unsafe situation. i had to leave my dog behind as a result, and my mother is telling me that i can't take her because of her having to pay for an emergency surgery my dog needed last year. it costs about 3k and i currently have no way of getting her that money as i am a full time university student, and i only work part time. if i were to sneak back to the house and take my dog anyway would that land me in any legal trouble? the dog is micro chipped in my name, and i have paid for 80% of her other vet visits myself. i just really care about this dog, and i don't want to separated from her. i really need advice. thank you.
