Nephew Is Being Neglected.
Location: AR. My brother in law and his girlfriend both have mental illness and addiction problems. My in laws take care of them and have made excuses and enabled them for years. They do not work. My BIL has done everything under the son drug wise and zero teeth in his head due to meth before the age of 30. He has also drank himself to death and was on the transplant list until he relapsed again. He is talking to himself and hitting himself. There are holes all in the house from him hitting the walls. His girlfriend refuses to clean or cook for my nephew. She won't even change the liter box to her cat. She is locked away in a room or she is screaming. My poor nephew is caught in it all. He thinks screaming matches are just adults talking. He is 7, almost 8, and they did not potty train him until last year and that would not have happened unless I physically picked my BIL and take him to go enroll him in school.....2 years later than normal children going to Elementary. The BIL has relasped again and was hospitalized. They both are posting crazy stuff on social media. I am afraid DHS will get him. What can I do? How do I prove this? I know it isn't enough for an emergency hearing, but do we even have a chance at getting him in a stable, loving home?
