Parent Suing Me For Parent Plus Loan

I received a letter from attorney and I don’t know how to go about this. I am no contact with them and have not paid in years because of that, they were the reason I was homeless. She told me when I was living with them back in 2021 the minimum was 800$ a month. I was paying it until I lost my job, I got another job but they didn’t like it. So I packed up my belongings and planned to move out. A lot has happened and I had to get the police involved to leave the house and get my belongings. During this we had a written agreement I would pay the loan and I would get the car put in my name. I gave the car back and stopped paying. It was years before last year I went back into contact with them and they started being toxic again I went no contact again. I was out of state and just came home to a letter from an attorney. It says I have 14 days to respond before legal action, it’s been 7 days. Does she have a legal ground? I don’t know that amount of the loan either because it not in my name. Any advice would be very helpful.
