Please Help Adoptive Parents Terminated Their Status Now I’m Being Summoned For Child Support.

Long story short I had a baby at 17 with a man 10 years my senior. He was an extremely physically abusive, and a drug addict. Eventually I lost all family support and was raising the child on my own, and ended up on drugs myself. After a year long process at 18 I entered rehab and the child was legally adopted. Fast forward 10 years later to now, the child has severe mental issues, is violent and aggressive and the adoptive parents have terminated their adoptive status and returned the child to foster care. I have just received a summons BY OUR COUNTY SHERIFFS to appear in their county common pleas court with attached paperwork to fill out for child support obligation. I’ve already contacted the public defenders office and I’m waiting to hear back from them, but my question is what can they realistically do in this situation? Can I be ordered to pay child support even though my parental rights were stripped a decade ago? TIA
