Private Car Sale

Card image cap

Location: Idaho

Hello everyone, I have quite a few questions due to a private sale I underwent through facebook marketplace.

I sold an audi tt 2001 roadster, and we made a legally binding contract handwritten, (which in idaho doesnt need to be notarized, just needs as is, date of sale, vin, payments, and signatures, which it has) and according to the guy I sold it to it has a blown engine and the injectors are bent, and electronically it is messed. I personally and genuinely did not know of ANY issues besides the gas button on the interior and the convertible hood not working as well, and that it was throwing a code for something to do with the air filter, which I replaced before selling. He is saying the my contract wasn’t legally binding, which according to idaho.gov it is based off of what we have and put into. He still technically owes me 2500 and me and my girlfriend are riding off that for this month’s rent for the most part. We will discuss it more tomorrow, but with all this info can I be sued or sent to court? I feel like I am safe but dont want to worry. And I genuinely didnt mean to screw over this guy. I just didnt know my stuff, and he really wanted this car.
