Probate Lawyer In Cahoots With Realtor And Appraiser.

Card image cap

Ohio... I hired a probate lawyer to handle my deceased father's estate. Lawyer recommended appraiser. Appraised my dad's house at 180 k. Lawyer recommended realtor. Realtor puts on market on a Friday while level 3 snowstorm on its way. Saturday and mostly everyone is snowed in. Realtor wants me to accept offer of 125 k , says first offer is usually the best. I push back. Realtor gets buyer up to 132 k. Wants me to accept (house on market for 2 days over a snowstorm weekend. Blizzard of 2026. ) . Now it's time to settle everything lawyer tells me house can't sell unless 80% of appraisal is met. Now lawyer wants appraiser to reassess and lower appraisal to meet 80% threshold so I can accept 132k on Dad's house. Whole thing feels grimy.. house is located in Butler county Ohio, probate court is Butler county ohio. Probate lawyer fee is set at 5k as per Butler county law. Probate lawyer was hired out of a different county, the county where I live... Please help. Are there any lawyers with morals that can help me understand what's really going on? Location: Ohio
