Racist Instructor

Location: VA

Hi everyone,

So I graduated not too long ago from a medical program and I've been going through the proper channels trying to get this addressed. Escalating it with my schools chain of command really left me In a bad place post grad. I was the only minority/ hijabi in my program.

I don’t think I’ve ever been treated less of a human so much. My instructor treated me horribly. I started to document it all. Then my classmate testified that she called her 10 times throughout the program to bad mouth me and claimed I was on meds and obsessive and etc. Mind you no medical program instructor should ever be discussing another student- let alone them being on meds. Her testimony is documented. Then the instructor proceeds to constantly talk in class about immigrants and even stating a minority professional at one of our clinical sites Is a fraud, faked his diploma and a bunch of other horrible things I can’t share here. Then she claims very proudly she isn’t even ashamed of saying it. So then some my classmates follow after her saying seeing immigrants at clinicals wearing nice shoes and clothes and having American passports basically make them uncomfortable. Obviously this type of conversations wouldn’t be happening if she wasn’t actively promoting it in the classroom despite the code of conduct that claims the school doesn’t discriminate. I tried reporting it and it backfired and I faced further retaliation. She put a resignation but never left. Then continued to attempt to try to write me up and I was able to Document & get a statement from clinical sites that I did nothing wrong and then she backed off. Filed another complaint with HR then she leaves a second resignation in the group chat. Took it up chain of command and it’s been pushbacks. Now oversight is stalling and idk what to do. A lot of other bad things happened there that I had documented and reported. Anyways- after graduating, a professional pushed out my resumes and evals and the word was that someone from school is giving bad feedback on me although I graduated with good grades and etc. Basically framing me as a liability and whistleblower just because I documented what this instructor did to me. I contacted oversight bodies and what I submitted has met their criteria to accept my case but it’s been months and no response Or updates. They don’t want to give me a timeline by which I can expect an answer. It’s been a disaster and I am basically trying to figure out what to do at this point. How to go about this? I can’t even secure volunteer roles. I feel like my career got destroyed for simply documenting the mistreatment I experienced which they acknowledged in the initial HR meeting. I’m so numb at this point. any advice would be appreciated.
