Rapist And His Attorney Trying To Make My Life Hell.

Long story short... I was kidnapped and raped by a 25 year old man when I was 15. I conceived a baby from this rape. I was threatened into silence (he threatened my daughter). When my daughter turned 18, I began to speak up and went to the police. There has been an ongoing investigation for 6 years now in one state, and 6 months in another. I have also been advocating and telling my story in sexual assault groups and among other parents who came forward claiming he has had inappropriate contact with their children as well.

His attorney sent me a cease and desist, basically telling me if I didnt stop "defaming" him, I will be charged with state and felony crimes and sued for damages. I ignored him.

He filed a protection order against me and I was forced to confront him and his attorney in court. I represented myself and submitted all DNA / age evidence. His attorney asked me questions such as "Did you intend to cause *him* mental distress by calling him a rapist" (I responded with no) "why did you call him a rapist" (I responded with "because he raped me") and asked me how many times I have called him a rapist... and repeated these questions so many times the judge stepped in and told him to stop it and that I answered already.

His attorney submitted police reports showing he filed for "making untrue statements" that also said "*he* denies allegations of having a relationship with *me* when she was underage" to support his request. This struck me as odd considering during his testimony and while listening to the recorded exparte hearing previously he went into detail in court about meeting me, seeing my ID, knowing my age and claimed a relationship for "several years". He talked about a relationship with a 15 year old like he was talking about any average adult ex.... (there was no relationship. there was NO consent legally or willingly and it definitely wasnt several years).

I ended up winning the case and no CPO was granted. However this police report bothers me a lot. He lied to police about having sex with me when I was a child in order to look like a victim and trigger an investigation.

I have been a nervous wreck about this. I have PTSD from my rape already and it has been FLARED up to the point I am seeing a specialist next week to get it under control. Im spiraling.

I am scared about what else he will lie about and drag me through court again. Im scared to answer the door or check the mail. I informed the detectives working the case and obviously submitted the transcriptions of him admitting location / knowledge of my age. However it's still slow moving.

What else can I do here? I know he is doing this to retaliate and silence me and I hate that it feels like it's working. How is intimidating a victim into silence like this not illegal? What can I do to put a stop to this?
