Real Estate Legal Advice Within 30 Day Of Close
Was wondering if anyone out there could point me in the right direction with the following scenario I have found myself in. Purchased a second home, closed <30 days ago. Multistory home, which the widowed owner likely never went up to top floor given stair chair from bottom floor to second floor, and not 2nd to 3rd. Relevance being is recent visit to house, termite kick out hole found with grass being dumped in 3rd floor bathroom and closet. Exterminator called, said when this is present, they have been around for at least a couple years. Disclosure form said “No” to termites and pest control. What is the play here? Lawyer up and try to get seller to pay for tenting and structural engineering inspection? Or am I let holding all responsibility?
Inspection showed no areas of concern, however, a pest/termite inspection was not selected as an add on(stupid I know and clearly kicking myself now at the oversight)
