Relocated To Or To Buy Land With Sibling And Then Was Denied Ownership
I moved my family across the country when my brother proposed we buy land together. I made it very clear I needed to be on paperwork but he waited until after I got to OR to tell me he wouldn’t give me any legal ownership. He had my family of six live in an uninhabitable 2 bedroom trailer from 1979 infested with mold and mice. he built an illegal unpermitted 2000sq ft two story home inside the pole barn on the land for him and his wife since we couldn’t have two separate dwellings. I paid half of what he told me the mortgage payment was for 5 years and then decided I could only have use of one acre. I had to leave for my families health and he forced a buy out. He decided my renter has ownership and so he is paying him half my investment. He’s paying him 1025 a month and then plans to pay me 1025 a month. He’s denying me equity and interest and is now renting his illegal dwelling for passive income on land zoned specifically forbidding numerous dwellings. Mua-10 zone. I have a letter stating he promised ownership and that he didn’t follow through on his promise and a message stating he acknowledges owing me 32,000. Should I sue?
