Reported A Shit-ton Of Csam On Twitter/x
Location: Denmark, but I’m asking for advice anyways, even thou go this group is USA and Canada
Yesterday I was admittedly searching for porn on twitter/x, when I came across a video that was clearly csam.
I quickly figured out a specific, but very unassuming, hashtag is used for csam videos.
I went on a rampage, reported all the accounts posts, went on his followers and following and reported all their stuff, this went on for hours.
I’ve read some posts, that says to report to more official organisations that focus on protecting children, and should I come across such material again, I will.
After my vigilante spree yesterday, I just want to reassure myself, that I haven’t gotten myselin trouble? I haven’t interacted with the material other than reporting it, I haven’t searched for it or anything, but I also had a thought, that if I was a pedo, that would be my defense. That I was doing it report it. Have I fucked myself over by doing something with good intentions? By reporting all these accounts and their material, have I interacted/boosted that shit??
These accounts are not even hiding the shot they’re doing, they have pictures of girls with “age 0-17” written on their profile pictures. And thousands of posts with links (that I obviously haven’t clicked on) with promise of cp folders. People are unapologetically commenting on this shit, saying stuff like “good morning lovely people” and stuff.
I feel responsible because I’ve discovered this hashtag, to report all the stuff under it. But I’m also aware that I’m clicking on a hashtag that has to do with csam and I don’t want to do something that can put me in a bad spot.
I’ve tried to make twitter/x aware of the hashtag.
Sorry for the ramble
