Boss Told Me To Resign Since It Would "look Better On My Record"
Okay. Long story. Location: Utah.
I've worked the same job for 7.5 years. Gotten regular raises and bonuses. Few meetings with head boss to discuss changes I needed to make regarding interactions with personnel or procedure.
Last week, she pulls me into the office after work and gives me a list of issues she heard of the day before, (which are either exaggerated, or inaccurate if not things I've done per her instruction) and doesn't let me refute anything until she's done, which she ends with "I think it's time we part ways, I'm encouraging you to tender a resignation since it will look better on your record.
Now, my question, if I do leave, can I take the recording to unemployment or do I have to keep going until she fires me? (Utah is a single party consent state).
Would I even get unemployment since Utah is "at will" or would it even matter since she hand wrote a list?
And what about my health insurance??
I'm stressed tf out. Any advice is welcome.
Thank you in advance.
