Road Rage
Location: Maryland.
My spouse was in a road rage incident earlier this week. essentially a car ran them off the road, the got mad and break checked them, then the other car pulled up next to them and said “do you want to fight.” against everyone’s better jusdgement my partner got out of their car with a baton, the passenger of other car threw their drink on my partner and my partner hit their window with the baton. end of incident. Just got a call today that other car went to police station and filed a road rage incident and a claim with insurance. Spouse says there were no damages, but other car is claiming damages. Insurance called today and needs a recorded statement from spouse. They have a dashcam but it didn’t record this incident, other car got a picture of their car but unknown what other evidence they have. My question is how much do we disclose in recorded statement. also should we hire a lawyer at this point? Also what charges are we possibly looking at? All advice appreciated.
