Should/could I Attend My Husband’s Arraignment?
Location: Alabama
We’re currently involved in the worst situation as my eldest daughter accused him of SAing her 2 weeks ago. He was arrested that Friday on many charges related to that.
Tbh this literally came out of no where.
He is out on bail on house arrest and no contact with the kids. He’s also supposed to be on no contact with me but as far as I understand it’s not a requirement of his bond? But whatever.
I filed a PFA. It was denied and I’m still waiting to hear anything about a hearing. Idk if they’ve served him yet. I haven’t filed for divorce yet as he was the bread winner and I had to take a leave of absence at work after literally fleeing our home so I’m broke and have not been able to obtain legal aid.
The detective told me his arraignment is Thursday. I have this overwhelming urge to just pull up. I haven’t seen him since we left that night after he fell asleep when she told me. I want to look at his face and just see his body language. He’s obviously going to plead not guilty and regardless of this I’d still like to know. I want to hear with my own ears what the judge says. I have gotten very little information thus far and the game of telephone has screwed me over multiple times already and it’s only been 2 weeks.
I assume his mother may try to hit me with her car but then she can be in jail too and really it’s a win-win situation there.
Should I call the detective tomorrow and just.. ask? Or is this an entirely bad idea.
