Should I Call Cps On My Mom?
Location: Texas. I'm currently 16 and in high school. in recent years my mom has had a tendency to be a hoarder, which by itself doesnt sound bad but out house has gotten to a miserable point. she has also bought way more dogs than we can take care of and the house is in a nonlivable state, there is constantly dried up dog poop or pee puddles always everywhere on the floor. it is hard to walk around the house with the amount of clutter there is. what's more, i have a little sister with a mental disability, and my moms ways of "discipline" arent the most ethical and she hits her and pulls her hair and she often yells at all of me and my siblings and she says hurtful things. There have been times where my mom has put locks on the fridge so my little sister couldn't grab stuff from inside and waste any food. My dad is still in the picture and is married to my mom, but he lives in a neighboring city, and part of me wants to move in with him, but the truth is I dont want to lose any of my friends or my life at school, because the opportunities my school provides me with I dont think i could find at the school zoned for my dads house. I do love my mom but I am often crying in my room for how my mom treats me sometimes, but I know she does love all of us and she can be the best mom sometimes, but it also feels like she can be the worst mom. Ive seen a reply on a similar post telling the person to request a welfare check, and Im thinking about doing the same, but i am honestly just at a point where I dont know what to do.
