Sister (37f) Went Through My(26f) Iphone While I Was In The Shower And Took Pictures Of Texts Between Me And My Boyfriend To Prepare To Show Family And Discuss My Love Life.

My sister(36f) Alexa had surgery to take out ovarian cysts and lives 2 hours away and I (26f with visual disability and am a disabled student) offered to take care of her for 3 days.

I took a greyhound and I arrived to LA and took buses to get to her apartment around noon. We ate at her house and talked til 6-7pm.

We talked about religion specifically the religion my boyfriend got me into which is Eastern Orthodox religion. It’s still a Christian religion which my family is Protestant Christian, but she visibly very much disliked it.

and she had a few disagreements but it ended there.

Around that time, she left to go walk the small dog she has.

After she walked the dog, I called my boyfriend. I call him and update him that I got there safely, and dragged the conversation with small talk.

Anyways my sister comes back 20 minutes later, I’m still on the phone but I decide I wanted to go shower now. I put down my phone and forget to screen lock it. So now it’s unlocked but I’ve never had a problem with family going through my phone since I was a minor. But I’m no longer a minor and I respect peoples privacy to their phones JUST like anyone else would.

She deliberately waited for me to shower and I did shower for like 30 minutes. If not 40 minutes.

She went through all of texts on discord because reception can have pretty bad audio, plus we met on the college campus’s discord server.

She read and saw him say “shut up” a few times and how we talk with each other and get mad at each other…. Like any couple would.

I knew she read them but I just found today from my dad (2 days later) that she apparently took photos of my phone!!! Of my private conversations and plans to present them all to my dad. (She’s a Daddy’s girl)

She also said I put her in danger by on call with my boyfriend and not hanging up because he might have my live location and assault her since she’s had stalkers in the past??? And some how my dad took her side in that??

She also told me she wanted to yank the hair out of my scalp even if her stitches opened up and everything fell out. But that she wouldn’t because her Heavenly Father wouldn’t want that nor her earthly father (my dad) would want that.

I just immediately bought greyhound tickets and left immediately on a uber. Which were immensely expensive. She also stated to family that the last few times I visited, that she’s had fraudulent chargers on her credit cards but I’ve literally never touch anything not mine, PLUS she stated she reported those fraudulent chargers and if that WERE the case, then the bank would’ve investigated and prosecuted someone for those crimes but guess what???

The last few times I visited were over 6-8months ago and I just started working at a hospital WHICH does background checks and I got a copy of my background check and it’s clean and empty. I’ve done no such criminal fraudulent activity. EVER.

She’s intentionally lying! She said I left my phone faced up on her kitchen counter and she was cleaning and saw it and of course went through it. THAT IS NOT true I left it on the couch faced down.

I showed my dad my clean record and he said what’s left is to see what she captured of my phone text messages with my boyfriend?

She said the fraudulent charges were someone buying girl stuff and school stuff, and I asked for her to show proof via text message and she couldn’t.

She had a 2 year long relationship so I proposed to my dad that maybe her ex boyfriend probably used her credit card to buy his other possible girlfriend stuff and she just doesn’t realize she got cheated on.

I have proof of her admitting she went through my unlocked phone and reading intimate messages without my consent and she wants to present the captured evidence to my dad. I’m not a minor anymore and I paid for my own phone and pay for my own phone bills. I’m literally 26.

I told my dad she technically search my phone illegally and without consent and I could technically sue her and he got mad and lectured me not to because it’s family. But she’s trying to defame me within my own family using illegal evidence and putting intimate conversations on display to ruin my reputation and the image of the guy I’m currently dating and plan to marry quite honestly. He’s christain and wants to wait til marriage and is studying to advance his career and charming.

I feel like a pedestal she’s using to get attention and validation from my dad at her grown age. Like she’s stuck with a big sister syndrome.

Can anyone give me legal advice as to how to stop her from displaying my intimate texts she got illegally? I’m sick to my stomach

She still thinks bullying me around like a big sister is still perfectly fine and I can’t do anything about it.

I should’ve called the cops when I was there and it happened.
