Suspicious My Brother Has Cp (possibly Of My 10-year-old) On His Phone

Long story short, last summer my brother (26y) had a paranoid mental breakdown that his phone had gotten hacked and the contents distributed to family.

To find out, he had a long history of anime hentai addiction, and a large collection of uncle/niece anime porn on his phone. We also found out through the mental episode that he had fantasies and sexual thoughts regarding my children (ages 5,8,10). As we can tell no actual physical sexual contact happened with my children, other than tickling and what is now clearly grooming behavior.

At the time certain family members protected him and did not want to get police involved, but the more time passes the more I’m convinced he had additional problematic and criminal content on his phone… I have no proof other than a strong suspicion based on things he has told me about my child.

I thought the phone was destroyed during the mental health episode, but I just recently found out that my father is in possession of it and has been holding this whole time.

If I reported it to the authorities, how seriously would they take it? Is there a police matter or an FBI matter or what? How could I ensure that it’s taken seriously and investigated thoroughly?

I’m also concerned that there’s now been enough time for either my father or my brother to delete incriminating evidence off of the phone… So I want some extensive forensics investigation to figure out and recover anything that was deleted.
