Teacher Faked Credentials To Teach

My gf went to CHCP (The College of Health Care Professions) in Houston in 2020 to get certified as a physical therapist tech. She went through the whole schooling and even did her 180 hour internship. By the end as it got closer to graduation, her professor sent a mass message to the class explaining that she was never certified to even teach, let alone certify them so they won’t be able to graduate. Meaning, she wasted her time, money and effort in this class because this random lady lied about her credentials and somehow got hired on to teach a bunch of bs to students. The school then told them that there was nothing they can do about it.
Is there any way she can get legal help to see if they can either sue the school or the “teacher”? She had to take out a loan and it’s affecting her credit and she wants to go back to school but can’t because of this record. We’ve tried to contact the school on multiple occasions to get records of everything she did but all they do is answer, put us on hold and then hang up. Over and over and over again. It’s frustrating and it makes me really sad. She’s only 23 and feels like she’s wasted her time and isn’t happy and has fallen into severe depression because of this. She can’t even qualify for FAFSA because of the loan.
