Tenant Died And Family And I Are Eager To Let Them In To Clean Out. Anything We Can Do To Get Them In Asap?

Location: Oregon. My tenant sadly passed away last week. I only rent out this one home and they were my first tenant and only lived in it for a few months, so am a very inexperienced landlord. The mother wants to fly in next week to clean out belongings. I believe she is legal next of kin, no other family. She is eager to get their stuff out so she doesn’t have to prolong this difficult process. I am also eager to get this process in motion, to also get this stressful situation behind me and because I’m worried about food spoiling, etc. (although I recognize it is much less stressful for me than the family, we are just aligned in our interests of getting them in there as soon as possible.)

My understanding is that I need a letter of estate before I can let them in. It seems like that process can take months in the court. I guess there is an expedited process for small estates, but that this process can’t even start until 30 days after the person passed away.

Is there any possible way to get the family in there sooner? Any other legal documents (birth certificate? legal contract of them assuming legal responsibility?) that we can use to get them in there?

TIA!
