They Served My 12 Year Old Boy And On Top Of That Wrong Person
My 12 year old got served papers for someone that has never lived here. We used to rent a room to a person of very similar name but after contacting that person they said that isn’t them either and the name is similar but wrong and they’ve had stuff similar happen because of some sort of identity theft mix up or fraud.
I want to do my due diligence for the person being served to make sure they receive this and don’t lose the case because they never received it.
I tried calling the number but they won’t give me any info because I am not of the party and originally the person I thought it was for also contacted and explained and they said to throw away the notice.
What are my options of finding this individual so they actually can see this and not get screwed because they never received it?
It’s a civil case for some sort of debt collection they are being sued.
If I was in that person shoes I wish someone would notify me to, I’m retired and have tons of free time.
