Third Wife Claiming Property Father Owned Before Marriage.

My birth father passed 4 years ago, I know I’m not considered a legal heir since I was adopted and we believe he left no will. He had Dementia for several years, his third wife had power of attorney. He had two children by wife #2, who gave up her rights to a large area of land she owned with him at divorce. A family member of both wife 2&3 ( they are step sisters ????) was responsible for the Probate, he never did anything that any of wife 2 and adult children knows about. It’s 4 years passed now, the Adult kids have been maintaining the land by logging and clearing roads for service workers. Now Wife #3 is suing everyone ( me, wife 2 and kids) for the land in her name only because she paid taxes on it and wants to sell it, our father wanted it to go to one of his sons. What options or hope do they have to gain the land that should legally go to them? I’m assuming wife3 will get half, she’s had a great lawyer for many years and managed to keep and control everything of our father, he was removed from her home for elder abuse when he had Dementia and placed in a VA nursing home.
