I Am Being Investigated For Assault.

I (44m) was in a bar and another man was staring at me, I ignored him and he started making inappropriate sexual comments to me, I asked him to stop several times and he continued, he threatened to sexually assault me and we got into a scuffle. I got the better of him and I stopped, I left afterwards.

A deputy went into the bar today asking if they knew me, they only have my first name but I am sure they can find me if they want to, the bar manager told the deputy that the other guy was the aggressor. I am sure that the other guy is leaving out all of the SA details.

I’m wondering if I should voluntarily ID myself to give my side of the story or if I should just wait and see what happens. I have not been charged to my knowledge and there is not currently a warrant showing in my name.

The guy had a black eye and a busted lip but followed me out of the bar when I left and he stayed behind drinking afterwards.

I am freaking out.
