Uber Driver Wrecked And Fled The Scene
The title tells most of the story. I am looking for some next steps as I have no idea where to go or what to do. Location: Las Vegas, Nevada. We had just began leaving the airport, and not even a minute in, my driver rear ended the car in front of us. The car in front of us was switching lanes last minute, but I still believe my driver was at fault since they weren’t paying enough attention. Luckily the airbag did not go off, but I have pains around my sternum from the seat belt doing its just job I suppose. My friend and his fiancé were in the back seat. His fiancé has bruised up knee caps and I know he hit his head on the seat in front of him. Overall, pretty minor injuries. The thing is, our driver actually fled the scene of the accident so there was no police report or anything of that nature. I received a call later that day from Uber in regard to the incident however. So he must’ve notified the police / uber after the fact.
I’m really not sure what or how to proceed as the injuries are not anything too concerning (at least that I know of yet). Any advice would be appreciated
