Unpaid Hoa Dues Sent To Collections

Location: South Florida, Palm Beach County

Story - Injured my back late 2025 which caused me lots of time out of work. Barely made my mortgage payments by selling possessions but I was 3-4 months late on my 450$ a month COA fee. I paid some down but i believe the debt to be around 1500 including late fees. I tried to pay it down even more today but found out my dues were sent to collections. I have always had great credit and this is my first real financial struggle. I have tried contacting the law office but they claim they don’t have my file yet although the property management group says it’s out of their hands now and in the hands of the law office. What is going to happen? I am working and able now and can begin to pay my dues, how do I go about this? I have been panicking all day because i don’t want to lose my condo i spent years working hard to buy. I don’t know if there is a lien but I am trying to pay this off asap to avoid anything else, i’m not sure i can pay everything but I have a decent chunk of money to put towards it. Advice greatly appreciated

TLDR ; late on COA fees, sent to collections, panicking and don’t know what to do, have some money ready to pay to them but probably not everything.
