Update: Insurer Says They'll Drop Us If We Accept A Tenant's Esa

Location: Kentucky

Just wanted to say thank you very much to everyone that was kind enough to offer their advice and opinion on our situation.

The attorney my girlfriend scheduled a consultation with ghosted her for their meeting and she has sent an email, called the office, and left voicemails to no avail so we gave up there.

That being said, while the tenants had completed their side of the application the cosigner we required them to have (other wise they did not meet our credit requirements) sent us a message refusing to sign for them.

We were able to refuse the application on Zillow because of this and now they are all reaching out saying they will sign it now and such. We are not dealing with them any further and the original potential issue seems resolved by the legitimate concern of them not meeting our credit requirements.

I wish we would have gotten actual legal counsel to tell us our options but are happy to be able to move on and look for other potential applicants. We have also taken the advice of limiting number of pets in-general and other things that were recommended.

Thank you again!
