Violation Of Quiet Enjoyment?

Card image cap

location: Tennessee

Recently my apartment flooded due to the winter storms in the south east.

Repairs are needed to replace the flooring, baseboards, and do flood cuts in three of the rooms.

On Thursday afternoon (2:37pm) I received an email from my property management company stating contractors would be doing additional assessments (mapping, measuring, moisture testing).

Friday at 10AM, less than 24 hours later, contractors entered my home unannounced (I just happened to be working from home that day, I also have two cats) and told me I needed to remove all personal items from the three impacted rooms for demo. I told them I received no notice and my roommate is not home to handle his own personal items. They just asked me which room to start with.

Four days later my bedroom and bathroom have no flooring, it is covered in ram board, my living room and kitchen are full of my furniture and personal items.

They have not given us a specific schedule for when this will be completed, and we have been given different answers as to the extent of what needs to be done.

EDIT: To add more detail, the water was vacuumed up and the leak above us was addressed two weeks ago, I understand emergency maintenance but the repairs are not an emergency.

Does this qualify as a violation?
