Wingstop Is Using My Video On Tiktok As An Ad Without My Permission.

Card image cap

In September I had a video of mine go viral at over 800k views to this day, it was Wingstop review video of me trying it for the first time. Wingstop contacted me via TikTok DM’s and asked if they could repost the video to their main page. I agreed as long as they tagged me in the video and given full credits for it. They edited the video to take some parts out, and reposted it in November. I never checked on it until now, and tons of people in the comments are saying it’s a sponsored video. The video has almost 2 million views (1.7m), 11k likes, and is one of their most viewed videos. The videos they post on their page don’t usually reach more than 10k. The video on my end and on my second account does not have a sponsored label, but there’s no way they didn’t pay TikTok to push it out as an ad to more people. I never agreed to this, and I never got compensated for anything. I wrote them a DM on TikTok saying:

Hi! I wanted to follow up regarding the video you reposted from me. I noticed the reach on the post is significantly higher than typical organic performance, so I just wanted to confirm whether the content has been used for any paid promotion or advertising.

I’m fine with the repost itself, but I’d appreciate clarification on how the content is being used, as paid usage would require prior authorization and agreement on my end.

Thank you!”

Is there anything else I can do? This feels wrong and illegal.
