Workers’ Comp Essentially Threatened Me With Ime.
Location: Massachusetts.
Without giving too much away — work-related injury. This is the first time I’m dealing with something like this.
Workers’ comp has been bungling my case from the beginning, going so far as getting the location of my injury on my person incorrect, and therefore threatening not to cover care for where the injury actually is despite extensive answers from myself to my adjuster before they made the claim.
They only just now started to cover a couple things because I made a stink about it.
I’m currently working my same exact hours — just with modifications for less strain.
Over email, my adjuster, who has been extremely rude and unprofessional with me, essentially threatened me with an IME while simultaneously “allowing” me to receive care for the actual site of my injury “without prejudice”. Very gracious of them.
Anyway. Should I contact a lawyer? Is this something I would even contact a lawyer about? It’s been nigh-impossible even contacting my claims adjuster and their supervisor.
