Worried Rear-end Accident Will Ruin My Life

Card image cap

Location: Florida. I rear-ended someone yesterday who is already disabled and has tons of medical issues and surgeries already from a major crash 6 years ago for which I can see she sued for, so she's been through this before. This was a minor crash. We were going slow, but she said this aggravated problems and a medical team showed up. Ultimately, she refused to be taken in an ambulance and drove away which I understand is common due to adrenaline etc. Today, I was informed by my insurance company that she is hiring an attorney. Due to her past of lawsuits and existing medical history I am terrified this is going to lead to more surgeries etc. I carry 100/300 coverage but live in a nice neighborhood and do have assets... enough for them to want to pursue, but not enough to comfortably pay out without it impacting my family. Also want to add that she has a rough life and likely sees this as a jackpot. Just looking for some realistic advice on what I can expect here. Of course my mind is jumping to the worst case scenario that she's going to sue me for everything I'm worth :(
